Yeast
Wyeast Wyeast 2450 Denny's Fav — Liquid — 5 L starter (decanted)
Procedure

11/15/08 - Made a 2 L yeast starter (hopped the starter this time with about .5 oz of cascade for 30 mins).

11/22/08 - Bottled decanted wort from yeast starter, made a new 3 L wort with another .5 oz of Cascade for 50 mins and added to slurry from original starter.

11/29/08 - First 10 gallon batch brewday.  I found that the new converted keg brewpot actually heats up just as fast, if not faster than my main brewpot which is great.  I drew out about 12 gallons of water the night before for mashing.  I ended up doing two seperate mashes in my two 5 gal rubbermaid coolers, one of the coolers mashed in perfect at 153-154, the other I couldnt get above 149 for some reason.

During the lautering process I was unable to raise the temp of the grainbed to my target of 170, in fact I seemed to lose quite a bit of heat and was unable to bring it up.

6/1/09 - Keg ran dry, this thing lasted forever!

Mash at 154 for 60 mins.
