American Barley Wine
Specifics
General Information
Method: All Grain

Substituted 3 oz of 10.8% Centenial for Magnum.

This was my first attempt at a parti-gyle, I missed my volume on the first running so I added about a gallon of the weaker runnings. which I had too much of.

At the end of the day I ended up with 5 gallons of 1.101 American Barley Wine, and 6 gallons of 1.044 Best Bitter.

2/19/12 - Added cultured Orval dregs (Brettanomyces Bruxellensis) to one gallon of this barley wine, will give this at least a few months before tasting.

5/7/12 - Brett portion gravity measured 1.011.

11/16/12 - Bottled Brett portion into 11oz bottles.
